About Us

WORD ON THE STREET is a service provided by KEEP IN TOUCH, a privately-owned business based in Vernon, CT USA. The company was founded in 1988 by Drew Crandall, a seasoned marketing communications and public relations professional.  Drew is also an experienced journalist who currently hosts a weekly business TV show, writes a regular column in a local daily newspaper, and writes content for local, regional, national and global websites and e-newsletters.

Drew's first job after graduating from the University of Connecticut was leading

a team of research associates who worked inside the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.  Interestingly, today he leads a team of research associates

who combine their keen insight, analytical and information-gathering skills,

and attention for detail with technology, to provide consistently high-quality

media monitoring services.  They track trends, public policy issues, client mentions, competitor activity, and sales leads.  

All of our employees live in Connecticut.  The firm is very involved in the local community and in the professional community.  Drew is a long-time member of the Public Relations Society.  He currently serves on the Board of the CT Valley Chapter and as editor of its e-newsletter and e-job bank.  Drew also serves on the Boards of the Better Business Bureau of Connecticut and the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce.
